In the past when I have tried to use the Recovery Console it asked me for the Administrator password. I have none so I just hit Enter and then it closes out. There is a separate Administrator account that is only visible when you go into Safe Mode.

If you go to 'Welcome' screen (where you see the user names, and you need click in the name) and hit Ctrl + Alt + Del 2 or 3 times, so it will open a 'dialog' box, asking for username and password, so, you can even type administrator and the password, or, your username and your password. If you want just change the password, you can right click in My Computer, go to manage, Local Users and Groups, Users, you will find administrator over there, right click and reset password. It will ask for a password, so, the user administrator will use this password that you type.
