I've been doing Kyle Korver highlights for a long time (relatively speaking). 5 years at this point. 5 years of The Korvman splashing threes and wetting panties. 5 years of him scoring 28 points or less every single time he stepped on the court.
The last time he scored this many points was a decade ago. I wasn't even a basketball fan then. 31 points on 2/21/2007 with the 76ers, against the Knicks. Also happened to be a career-high. Seems like kind of a low career-high for someone with as nice of a stroke as Korver, but I don't judge.
He plays his role, and his role doesn't ever include him doing swaggy iso 1-on-1 moves, the type of moves you need to get 30 on a regular basis. Sadly, there don't appear to be highlights of that decade-old career-high performance, so you're just going to have to imagine. Atoms To Mass In Grams Converter Cups. Happily, it'll be easier once you watch this video. Just take what you saw, and add two more technical free-throws, and there you have it. Imagine those Knicks defenders of old being just as clueless as today's Pacers defenders (seriously, what the heck were they doing on some of these shots?), and imagine Andre Iguodala passing it to him instead of LeBron James (that part's really easy!). CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Through three quarters against the Sacramento Kings, sharpshooter Kyle Korver looked lethargic -- just like the rest of his teammates. Head coach Tyronn Lue couldn't pinpoint exactly why. But he could certainly sense it. So during the mandatory timeout, prior to the start of the fourth quarter, Lue decided it was time to unlock Korver, especially with LeBron James set to rest at the start of the period. 'I told the coaches, I said, 'We need something from Korver,' Lue admitted following the 101-95 win.
